Why we can sell your boat easier than you
Quite simply, it’s because all we do is sell boats. So, we understand what buyers want because we’re dealing with the market every day and we know the real selling points of your boat because we deal regularly with every boat manufacturer, engine distributor and specialist marine company in the UK and Europe.
We’ve got sales professionals available 363 days a year to show potential customers your boat and market it with the right details, pictures and specifications. We include your boat in our specialist national advertising (up to £30,000 per month), arrange demonstrations and displays seven days a week. We’ll also feature your boat on our website - one of the most popular boat sites on the Internet, attracting up to 500,000 hits per month.
With all that muscle behind the sale, it’s no surprise that our average time for selling boats is 8 weeks - a lot less than the national average of 8 months.
What the service includes
As well as our proactive sales operation, we take care of the essentials like unloading the boat, valeting, part exchanges, finance, surveys and everything else that is needed to sell your boat. We can arrange and pay for collection anywhere in Europe (costs are deducted when sold).
When we have a buyer, we take a deposit via credit/debit card and arrange any necessary finance through our network of specialist marine lenders. We will even take a part exchange against your boat, and pay you from the value of the part exchange. If the boat remains unsold after 8 weeks we will offer you a cash figure which means you can have a deal completed by the end of 8 weeks - guaranteed. No other broker offers a deal like that, anywhere in the UK.
The cost
All charges are agreed prior to work being carried out and there are no hidden costs. The commission structure is simple:
First £10,000 of the value of your boat is charged at 10% + VAT
Second £10,000 (£10,000-£20,000) is charged at 8% + VAT
Anything above £20,000 is charged at 6% + VAT
Example: If we sell your boat for £23,000 we will charge you £1000 on the first £10,000, £800 on the second £10,000 and £180 for the final £3000 - total £1980 + VAT)
Next stage
Just complete and submit the online brokerage agreement form, and we’ll do the rest. It’s that easy. Please remove all personal belongings and anything not included in the sale to avoid confusion with prospective clients.
